Ferienhaus 'Pico do Paraíso' mit Meerblick, Wlan und Klimaanlage

Thoroughly enjoyed the general living area, comfortable beds and the outdoor area and pool.

Would have liked the use of another pillow on our bed.

Large house with great pool and rear garden (garden with limited views over the city below but also views out to sea) balcony outside main bedroom with good views over west Funchal / sea and good staircase access to roof where great views over the city/ sea (one of our early 20s daughters especially spent a lot of time chilling on the roof and it is a great amenity to have) . All three bedrooms are very large and each has a large en suite bathroom with bath and shower , bidet and etc . Also a large downstairs bathroom . Kitchen is large with what seems to be all new appliances (or seems do as so very clean) and fully equipped with large fridge freezer , large microwave oven with grill , large oven and four ring hob, sandwich toaster , air fryer , coffee machine , dishwasher and all the pots, pans, bowls, plates , cutlery and utensils you may need as well as sandwich boxes if you are planning days out. Continued (as last box limited to 1,000 letters) - lounge dining room area is very large with solid fuel stove and smart TV with apple tv , Prime, Netflix etc etc in lounge . House is situated high above Funchal in the Pico Dos Barcelos area , ten minutes walk from a slightly higher public viewpoint . We walked downhill into Funchal centre (45mins ) and as steep hills back up got taxis / Uber back up (€8 - €12) but there are bus stops 3min walk from the house into Funchal if regular trips planned. Getting taxis was never an issue (food and grocery deliveries to the house can be hit within an hour of ordering ). Main Madeira Shopping centre 20min walk away with large supermarket (Continente) , good restaurants with 10min walk (Quinte Estação and Cantinho o Norte reccomended) . The day tour companies will collect from the house as it’s in Funchal. Great communication from the hosts, they checked to see we got into the house ok and checked during our stay checked in and offered help etc.

The house was really clean. The kitchen could be a bit more equipped but it was ok. The location was safe and really in a very nice area. The pool is not heated so be prepared. We only used it once and it was frigid. The beds are hard so be aware. The house is very spacious and has a nice modern decor. The AC units really worked well when needed. Joanna was very quick to respond when we had questions. I would recommend this place to stay in Madeira.
