Charming Holiday Cottage in the Lugana Wine Region – Nature, Indulgence & Lake Garda Nearby
A lovingly restored 17th-century stone house, nestled in a 3,000 m² organic garden – welcome to Irmi’s Wine Garden. This charming retreat is located in the rolling hills of the Lugana wine region, just 1 km from Lake Garda and the picturesque town of Peschiera del Garda. Ideal for families, couples, and all those who want to combine the Italian dolce vita with nature, relaxation, and culinary delights.
THE HOUSE
This historic terraced house was fully renovated in 2023 by the owner, Irmi Windegger, using eco-friendly materials and biological construction methods. It is now a zero-energy home featuring natural insulation and a photovoltaic system – sustainable, healthy, and comfortable.
Spread over two floors, the house accommodates up to five guests:
(Note: Starting in 2026, the two floors will be separated by a door. Currently, it is still an open-plan layout.)
The upper floor offers a spacious bedroom with three beds and access to a balcony with a beautiful view of the surrounding vineyards and garden. A modern bathroom is also located on this level.
The ground floor features a cozy open-plan kitchen and living area with a sofa bed (sleeps two), a second bathroom, and direct access to the covered terrace with sun awning – perfect for relaxed meals outdoors.
All rooms are tastefully furnished with high-quality, natural materials and great attention to detail. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the house.
THE GARDEN
A true highlight of the property is the large, fully fenced organic garden – a paradise for all ages:
3,000 m² of green space with loungers, shady spots, and plenty of room to play or unwind
Herb and vegetable garden available for guests – fresh-picked and 100% organic
Barbecue area, garden shower, Kneipp pool, children’s swing, sandbox, outdoor games, and more
Access to Irmi’s homemade organic products – wines, jams, herb salts, and preserved vegetables – lovingly made and available on site
The garden is ideal for families with children – and dogs are very welcome, too!

Irmi’s Wine Garden enjoys a peaceful, private setting just 1 km from Lake Garda and only 400 m from the romantic little Frassino Lake. The location perfectly combines nature, culture, cuisine, and a wide range of leisure activities:
The charming town of Peschiera del Garda is just minutes away – with a historic center, lakeside promenade, boat rentals, restaurants, and shops
Discover nearby medieval villages like Castellaro Lagusello, Borghetto sul Mincio, and Ponti sul Mincio – perfect for day trips
Cyclists will love the extensive network of trails that run through the wine country all the way to Mantua, Sirmione, or along the lakefront
Verona can be reached by train from Peschiera in just 10 minutes – ideal for a city stroll or an evening at the opera
